Been a minute

My last update was back in December of ’25. Spoke about my reflections over my years in college and I did not really find the motivation to post again. The entire purpose behind this page was to keep my updates and thoughts here, besides technical content and over time I lost the habit or will to maintain them. I guess now that I’ve almost made it out of college, would be a good time to start over again and make this a habit. So might as well start with a small updates.

Started the year with a short trip with my sisters to Mysuru. (This was back in December, including it regardless).

With my 6th semester being my penultimate year in college (never have to visit that university again O_O), came up with an excuse to go out on random outings around Bengaluru every week and drag my friends along.

A special mention of a “touching grass” moment would be my two favourite outings since Jan. A couple of my friends and I managed to pull of a small road trip to Akkayamma betta and followed by a much longer and enduring trek up the Skandagiri Hills. I’ve never tried doing anything like this and I loved every part of it. This made me realise how fun treks are and makes me want to do more.

‌Another nice highlight was going to my first ever rock concert. Got to watch Def Leppards live in Bengaluru with Anirudh.

I picked up a guitar for the first time in 2016. I never managed to have a rhythm of practicing at a stretch and let it collect dust the day I stepped into college. As a change, I’ve started playing more frequently, and am quite happy with the progress. And I’ve also gotta credit my friend Pranav (here is his GitHub just as a backup), who also plays Guitar which was another motivating factor to pick it up again and share recordings.

Ended my three years in college (1 left to go unfortunately) by shifting back to my old apartment that we moved out of before joining my uni. Really warm feeling to come back home and have friends over for the first time in my life.

A final milestone in these 5 months was getting an offer from Akamai for a summer intern position in the ghost team (we work on edge servers). Genuinely a huge weight off my chest but the cycle of finding a job will resume shortly again. Until then it’s just a huge relief to work on something that I’m passionate about :D

Hopefully I keep my word for maintaining this page more frequently with shorter updates. Until then, just keep swimming 🌊
